Campground Review: Two Rivers Campground

Campground Review: Two Rivers Campground

When we mapped out our travel path from Campbellsville, Kentucky to Florida for the winter, we added a few stops along the way to break up the trip. We decided to make a 2-night stop in Nashville, TN to explore Music City, USA. After a quick search, we landed on Two Rivers Campground. It was located right along the highway and ended up being one of three campgrounds right along the same road with several RV dealers tucked in between. While fairly basic, it was a great location for sight-seeing. It is located less than 3 miles from the Grand Ole Opry, Gaylord Opryland Resort, and the new Opry Mills mall. About a 20 minute drive will find you in downtown Nashville.

If you happen to be at Two Rivers Campground around the Christmas holiday, you will also have front row seats to the Dancing Lights of Christmas, which is Middle Tennessee’s largest drive-thru light and music show located at the Jellystone Campground next door. If you get a site near the back of the campground, you will feel like you are a part of the display next door. We could open or door and watch as the cars drove through from the time they opened until the time they closed. It was impressive, but we enjoyed our free show rather than the price tag of $25/car.

Due to the time of our visit, the pool was covered and closed for the season. It appeared to be a decent size for the campground. The office/store was large and we were greeted by a cheerful and informative worker upon our arrival.

The only downside we found to this campground, was that the sites were really tight back to back. They were decent sized from side to side, but the back of our camper was only a few feet from the back of the camper in the row behind us. There is also not a lot of 50 amp sites, so it may be hard to snag one if you are in Nashville during a busy time of the year.

We would definitely recommend Two Rivers Campground if you are looking for a convenient play to stay while you spend time exploring the Nashville area.
