The Queen City, CinCity, The ‘Nati, Cincy
Unfortunately, we don’t have much to say about our time in Cincinnati as it rained during our ENTIRE stay. However the weather gods must be on our side because we were able to setup and tear down without a raindrop. For that, we are very, very thankful! The paved sites at Winton Woods Campground made the rain not be a big issue other than limiting our sight-seeing adventures. Guess another visit to Cincinnati will be added to our bucket list.
We did fit in an outing to Jungle Jim's International Market (huge grocery store sometimes described as a theme park of foods) and then noshed on some yummy eats from Tom + Chee. Grilled cheese and tomato soup is perfect for a rainy October day in my book or really even any day, rainy or not! We were also able to use the dreary days to catch-up on inspection reports, emails, cleaning, and organizing. Occasional rainy days are nice for things like that. See I told you the weather gods know what they are doing!
To say our trip to Cincinnati was completely eventless would not be true, as this is where I was when the Cleveland Indians won the AL pennant! Whoop Whoop - we’re going to the ‘ship! October baseball is the BEST baseball. Proud to be a Tribe fan! And I would be remiss if I didn’t take the time to thank our satellite for providing us with a great signal for the games despite the stormy weather. You’re the best, TP! Why yes, we are weirdos - our satellite has a name and we do talk to him frequently. He’s a member of the family too!
