Hershey RV Show

Things are starting to get real - as we continue our search for our home on wheels. It was a no-brainer that we needed to spend some time researching in the sweetest place on earth (Hershey, PA) at the Hershey RV Show. We decided to tackle it on two days - Wednesday & Sunday. We arrived around lunchtime and enjoyed a tailgate lunch before heading into the show. We had narrowed our search to a handful of brands we were seriously considering. We spent time sitting in those coaches and talking to the brand reps about what was most important to us. After several RV shows, we have gotten pretty good at knowing what trailers fit our requirements. 

We also took some time to attend a few seminars while at the show. One about Full-Time RVing and one about Workamping put on by Workamper News! They were both great and very informational. It was wonderful to meet the man behind the brand. What a great resource they have created for people interested in the Full Time lifestyle. Obviously, we will need to work while on the road and again it is great to know that there are plenty of jobs to go around! You will definitely hear us talk more about Workamper News in the future!

After our first day at the show, we spent the next few days really talking about whether we wanted to buy new or used. While we saw lots of new RVs that fit the bill, they didn’t always fit the budget. Due to the fact that this trailer would be our ONLY home, the quality and amenities were very important. We will do another post about how we figured out what was most important to each of us. 

On Sunday, we joined with some family (DeWalds & Wamplers) to tackle another day of the Hershey RV Show. It was fun searching out trailers that fit each of the families requirements. Nicole & Travis ended up purchasing a lovely new travel trailer that will be just perfect for them. The show being in September makes it tough knowing you won’t be able to use that new trailer until Spring in PA. Ugh! Let the countdown until Spring camping begin….
