Eat 2 Live Bistro

Eat 2 Live Bistro

UPDATE: This restaurant has since closed, but still worthy of a read because it was an excellent stop during our travels.

We never expected to find a super gluten-free friendly restaurant in this neck of the woods. The Eat 2 Live Bistro came highly-recommended on the Find Me GF app. When I clicked on the menu, I was shocked that nearly all of there menu items were naturally gluten free or available with a gluten-free option. The menu also had nut free, dairy free, vegetarian, and vegan options labeled clearly. Every dish is freshly made with organic, local fruits and vegetables, and pastured meats whenever possible. Eat 2 Live Bistroutilize superfoods from around the world with fresh herbs and spices.

The bistro was trendy inside with bright colors and a wavy cork board ceiling. They also had a small market inside the front door that is stocked with a great selection of healthy foods and gluten free baked goods - Russ might have drooled a little over there, so watch your step!

After spending quite some time looking over the menu we both decided on a sandwich served with pickled veggies and sweet potato wedges. Russ did the Sirloin & Smoked Gouda Melt and I gobbled up the Caramelized Veggie Sandwich. We really splurged and started off with Stuffed Pepper Soup & Veggie Tots and topped off the meal with some to-go Turtle Cheesecake. I’ll be right back…..

Sorry for the break, but after typing that last sentence I realized that we still had some Turtle Cheesecake in the fridge. Well not anymore, but we did before I started this post. Oh my was it good. Not sure if we liked the oatmeal walnut crust or the house made caramel sauce more, but do we really need to decide. The only decision is to make sure to stop by for another piece when we are anywhere within a 100 mile radius of the place. Maybe next time with a fresh fruit cobbler as well just to make sure the Turtle Cheesecake doesn’t get lonely. We are all about keeping everyone (including our desserts) happy!

Our waitress and the manager were both awesome and even agreed to take a photo with Russ after dinner. If you ever in the area, add this to your plate list, you know like a bucket list, but food-themed! Tell them those crazy bloggers, Russ & Betsy, from SeeSimpleLove sent you!
