Campground Review: Ocean View Resort Campground
While we have been to Ocean View Resort Campground several times, this was Charlie’s first trip there! While he is a fan of beach vacations, he doesn’t like to get his feet sandy. Why, yes, we are talking about our camper. Luckily, we were able to snag one of the few gravel pull through sites that Ocean View Resort Campground has. After Labor Day, most of the campgrounds in this area slow down. Ocean View is no different with the pool, lake, arcade, ice cream shop, and tram car all being closed for the season. They make this very clear when making reservations and the rates do drop since these amenities are not available. They do have a nice pool complex with a pirate themed splash pad and a large man-made lake for swimming and paddleboating.
Ocean View Resort Campground is great for beach lovers because it is less than 5 miles from Sea Isle City beach. The campground is large with around 1300 sites with at least half of the sites reserved for seasonal campers. There are lots of large trees in this campground which is good for shade and bad for leaves falling on the top of the slides. The flies, bees, no-see-ums, and mosquitos were definitely out in full force, making dusk a time to hide in the camper. The majority of the sites are sandy, so we recommend either prepare to fight the sand and book one of their gravel sites!
