Tom + Chee
Grilled Cheese + Tomato Soup = Happiness! Really if you disagree, you are lying to yourself!
After seeing this perfect combination featured on Shark Tank three years ago, it is almost hard to believe I have been able to sleep at night. You may have also seen them on Man V. Food or Amazing Eats! I needed Tom + Chee and I would like to believe Tom + Chee needed me. Today when my stomach started rumbling at dinner time, I looked to my phone for guidance and thank goodness I did. Through the phone’s magically powers, I found myself less than 20 minutes from this marvelous combination of Tom + Chee. Considering there are only 31 stores nationwide and only 1 in Pennsylvania, I consider myself extremely lucky to land so close to heaven (I mean Tom + Chee)!
We were warmly greeted by a lovely cashier who helped us navigate the goodness displayed on the menu, including gluten free options for the hubs (woohoo)! The grilled cheese options were endless – BYO, Fancy, Crunchy, Donuts. We both opted for the Build Your Own (BYO) Grilled Cheese with a Side of Tomato Soup.
Our Winning Combinations: (However, last time I checked the menu, a losing combination was no where to be found)
- Betsy: Hardy White + Cheddar + Onions + Pickles + Basil Pesto
- Russ: Gluten Free Bread + Swiss + Feta + Pepperoni + Bacon + Onion
We opted for a cup of Creamy Tomato Basil & a cup of Chunky Tomato Basil to sample both. While both were tasty, we both agreed the Creamy would be deemed winner! After slurping through all the yumminess, we were both overly stuffed and vowed next time to get the “Soup Dipper” size of soup which is only half the price!
While I was overly tempted to give the Grilled Cheese Donuts a try, the waist of my pants begged me not too! Please reach out to me if you have tried this salty + sweet melty goodness and can give me a mouth-watering description to save me from needing to buy a new wardrobe!
Feeling generous today, I would not be upset if you sent me a Tom + Chee eGiftCard. I kid, I kid, but seriously the Grilled Cheese + Tomato Soup lover inside of me thanks you in advance. : )
