Campground Review: Shipshewana Campground South
The reason we were at the Shipshewana Campground was for an RV Tech Course being held at the pavilion on site, but we would certainly return if we were in the area again. The campground had very few amenities - such as a pool, hot tub, walking trails, etc, but was very well maintained. We really enjoyed the campground. Almost all of the sites were full-hook up pull-throughs - definitely very big-rig friendly. The sites were not huge, but roomy enough to feel like you had your own space. There are no fire-pits on site, but you can have a fire in a above ground fire pit or use one of their two community fire pits. The bath house and laundry facilities were clean and convenient to our site. The staff was very friendly and helpful and allowed us to receive a mail package during our stay. The location is very convenient to the attractions, flea market, and shops in Shipshewana as well as several RV manufacturers. We met several campers who were in the area to get repairs done and it serves as a great location for that.
