Campground Review - Jones RV Park

Campground Review - Jones RV Park

Since we enjoy big cities, we are frequently looking for campgrounds that are near big metropolitan areas. This time, we were looking for a campground near Atlanta. Russ & I used to live in Alpharetta, which is a suburb north of the city. We also were planning to visit friends on the east side of Atlanta to celebrate the New Year! Our Big Rig Friendly book led us to Jones RV Park. The park is primarily a mobile home / seasonal campground. There are approximately 25 sites that appeared to be used for short-term stays. These 25 sites were gravel, pull-thrus many which were at least 75 - 85’ long. The sites were close and the amenities were few, but it was an easy on and off campground, less than a mile off of I-85. Jones RV Park would be an ideal location if you were looking to spend time exploring the Atlanta area. It is about 20 minutes (without traffic) to downtown Atlanta.
